Hokies Favored to Beat Maryland on the Road | Maryland Terrapins Football News

Virginia Tech’s football team is off to a strong 2-0 start, dominating Old Dominion in their opener — a welcome relief for fans after years of tough matchups. Now, they face a pivotal road test against Maryland, where they’re actually favored for the first time this season. With a three-and-a-half-point edge and an over/under of 52.5, the Hokies must contain Maryland’s dynamic QB Malik Washington, who could give them trouble — something Virginia Tech’s offense hasn’t faced yet. The defense will be key: shutting down Washington, forcing turnovers, and limiting big plays. If they can replicate their defensive flashes from last week, they’ll have a shot at keeping their perfect record intact when kickoff hits at 7:30 PM ET on FS1.
