Hold Firm Our Newborn Confidence in Christ | 3,650 Minutes of Prayer
from Psalms23Wave · host Mathew Sekanjako
This is Day Sixty-Two of 3,650 Minutes of Prayer. Today, we moved into Hebrews 3, reflecting on the high calling of our Lord and our position as His dwelling place. We unpacked the powerful truth that we are the house of the Lord—not a building of stone, but a living tabernacle where the Spirit of God dwells. Christ, as the faithful Son over His own house, is the builder and sustainer of all things. We discussed the miracle of being "born again," recalling the conversation with Nicodemus. To be a new creature means to be clothed in a newborn confidence that is rooted in the likeness of God from the beginning. We were reminded that although Christ was made "a little lower than the angels" to fulfill His mission on earth, He has returned to the glory He had before the foundations of the world were laid. By His triumph over the kingdom of darkness, He has made us partakers of His heavenly calling. We spent our time interceding for every believer to hold fast to this confidence until the end. We prayed for the strength to remain steadfast, understanding that we are His workmanship, created for good works. We declared that because faith comes by hearing the Word of God, our hearts are being established in the evidence of things not seen, anchored in the eternal reality of our Lord.Interceding & Revelation Scriptures (NKJV)Hebrews 3, 6 "but Christ as a Son over His own house, whose house we are if we hold fast the confidence and the rejoicing of the hope firm to the end."Hebrews 3, 14 "For we have become partakers of Christ if we hold the beginning of our confidence steadfast to the end."John 3, 3 "Jesus answered and said to him, 'Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.'"Ephesians 2, 10 "For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them."Hebrews 11, 1 "Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen."Romans 10, 17 "So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God."John 17, 5 "And now, O Father, glorify Me together with Yourself, with the glory which I had with You before the world was."Read the whole of Hebrews Chapter 3.There is One true God, the Creator of all things, revealed in three persons; God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. There is One God and One Spirit Who has redeemed us all. I am Mathew Sekanjako, a believer in our Lord Christ Jesus (Yeshua HaMashiach), the one Son of God. I serve and confess God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. This interceding is offered in faith, in obedience, and in love, for all who will listen.
