Holiday Break Watch Along - Mars Attacks (1996)

from 70MM Rejected

Each season the 70MM REJECTED crew unearths movies that haven't been selected by The Village and/or The Hosts of 70MM to make sure they get their moment in the sun. ACK! With the holidays season upon us, we wanted to make sure we gave everyone some time off, especially the amazing ladies working hard for wintHER. So we went back to the early days of the village when Paul, groogruxdave and Kev did an impromptu Mars Attacks watch along and posted it to an old podcast feed. ACK! We unearthed that recording to let you hear the awful audio from groogrux (glass case of conference room emotion, lol) and how Kev and Paul have always been audio perfection and movie insiders themselves. Don't forget to listen in to Kevs amazing Austin Danger Pod, you really should be by now.AND the new hot pod on the block, Laurie Strode Trap House, for all the 21st century grime/horror/alt media we have maybe tried to forget, but secretly we crave....Shout out to The Village and the hosts of 70MM for making a most excellent community. This podcast is made with love and appreciation. And, if you're not already a Villager, you can join 70MM's Patreon by clicking the link below.https://www.patreon.com/70mmACK! ACK!

Edgar Allan Poe Poems by Edgar Allan Poe Loyal Books Best known for his scary tales, mystery and detective stories and imaginative fantasy stories, Edgar Allan Poe was also a gifted poet. He wrote more than 70 poems and almost all of them have been widely appreciated by readers and critics alike. This collection contains some of his most famous ones, including the immortal Raven, which combines a sense of doom and nameless despair. With its ringing, alliterative and repetitive lines and strange, supernatural atmosphere, it remains one of Poe's best known and most quoted poems.Other poems in the anthology include The Bells, which was published after Poe's death. This poem is one of his most “acoustic” poems. It is divided into four parts and with each succeeding part, the sound of the bells becomes more and more sinister and gloomy.
