Holiday Heart is a heartfelt drama about an openly gay drag performer named Holiday Heart, played by Ving Rhames, who unexpectedly becomes a father figure to a troubled young girl and her struggling mother. After losing his longtime partner, Holiday befriends Wanda, a single mother battling drug addiction, and her daughter Niki. Wanting to help them escape their difficult living situation, he opens his home and his heart to them. As Holiday grows close to Niki and tries to support Wanda through her addiction, the three form an unconventional but loving family. However, Wanda’s toxic relationship with her dangerous drug-dealing boyfriend threatens their stability and puts Niki in harm’s way. The film explores themes of love, acceptance, addiction, sacrifice, and chosen family, while showing how compassion can change lives even in painful circumstances.
