Peter encourages us to be alert, and live in a way that we see the reality of our thoughts and deeds as well as the those of the culture we find ourselves in. We do this to be prepared to respond well, in the awareness that the grace of Jesus Christ is already here, and Judgement is at hand. “I’ve called you out so that you would live differently.”
