Eddie "A&R Eddie" Fourcell is currently head of A&R for Mary J. Blige's Matriarch Entertainment/Universal Music Group and head of 4Cell Entertainment, where he manages up and coming songstress Maryland Lavon. His rise to a career as an A&R started in high school at the age of 17 years old when he was rewarded an internship with Island Def Jam through the schools internship program. At the time, the label was home to superstar heavyweights Jay Z, Rihanna, Ne-Yo, Rick Ross, Fabolous, and Young Jeezy, just to name a few. After making several connections and networking within the company, Eddie was able to partner with industry heavyweights that saw management opportunities for artist/producers/songwriters and after graduating from College, was asked to intern for Mary J. Blige's newly created record label, Matriarch Entertainment. In less than a year of interning there, he was asked by CEO and manager/husband to Mary J.
