Faktisk kan man lave en hel tidslinje af filmhistorien ved blot at se film om Hollywood og filmverdenen fra nogle af verdens største instruktører gennem tiden. Nosferatu vil dykke ned i Hollywoods insisteren på at klappe sig selv på skulderen fra de første stumfilm i Hugo frem til det moderne take på Hollywood i film som Tropic Thunder og La La Land.
