Holy Cow, welcome to today’s episode of Lure of the Lake! No really. I am welcoming the owners of a very cool new store to the show today, Jennifer & Michael Woodcock. We will introduce you to a one of a kind, local leather shop named Holy Cow. And while the leather products are amazing, there is so much more. We love introducing guests to the audience who not only have interesting lives & businesses, but who also have interesting stories of being “lured” to the lake. As you will hear, my guests today certainly have both! Growing up in McDonough, Jennifer and Michael, or Mikey as Jennifer likes to call him, met early in life, got married and have been together for 27 years, though to look at them, you would never believe that. And to round the family out, they have four children and a grandchild on the way! We’ll talk about the successful careers both of them had prior to launching their business and we’ll talk about the business, its humble beginnings, rapid growth and how it got its interesting, unique name! The fun really begins when they decided to make the move to the lake. The stars lined up as they made the decision to move, not only their business, but also their home AND their family all at the same time! It was a leap of faith! We’ll spend some time introducing you to the store, the beautiful handmade leather items that you can often see being made, hand poured candles poured right in the store, handcrafted woodworking items that Michael makes himself and so much more.
