Holy Cross Basketball Falls to BU in Close Match

Holy Cross Mens Basketball Falls to Boston University in Close Matchup The Holy Cross mens basketball team suffered a tough loss to Patriot League rival Boston University on Monday night. Despite strong performances from junior guard DeAndre Williams and sophomore guard Tyler Boston, the Crusaders fell short in a nationally televised game. Williams matched his career high with twenty points, while Boston added fifteen points efficiently. The game remained close throughout, with Holy Cross grabbing brief leads in both halves. However, Boston University pulled ahead late with a key fourteen to five run, securing the win. Standout performances included freshman forward Aiden Disus career-best fourteen rebounds and Holy Cross dominance in points off turnovers. Williams saved his best for the second half, scoring twelve of his twenty points there and setting a personal record with four three-pointers. The loss drops Holy Cross to eight and sixteen overall, three and eight in the league, while BU improves to nine and fifteen. The Crusaders will host Lehigh this Saturday, February seventh, at two p.m., giving them a quick chance to bounce back on their home floor.
