The cost of our progress includes - among many other damages - soil erosion. For a few people, soil erosion means that their oceanside properties are becoming unstable. For all of us, soil erosion is a warning sign of impending global hunger. The available solutions (agroecology, agroforestry, etc.) are implemented at a record-slow speed because the things that are good for the Earth and for us are threatening the existence of multi-billion agrochemical corporations and other companies that benefit from industrial agriculture.
