Holy NO! Episode 5: You Don't Have to Prove Yourself

from It’ll Always Be Fun with Brooke and Miranda · host itllalwaysbefun

“If you are the Son of God…” That’s how the enemy begins. In Matthew 4:3–4, Jesus is tempted in the wilderness—not just with hunger, but with the subtle pressure to prove who He is. To perform. To validate His identity. To turn stones into bread and show His power. But Jesus doesn’t take the bait. Instead, He responds with truth: “Man shall not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God.” This week on Holy NO!, we’re talking about the exhausting cycle of trying to prove ourselves—our worth, our calling, our identity—to people, to expectations… even to God. What if you were never meant to prove anything? What if your identity was never something to earn—but something already given? This episode is for the one who feels like they have to strive to be enough. For the one who feels unseen unless they perform. For the one who is tired of carrying the weight of “proving.” Jesus didn’t prove Himself—and you don’t have to either. Come sit with us as we unpack what it looks like to live from identity, not for it. 📖 Don’t forget to download your free Holy NO! workbook 💛 And remember—when we’re together, it’ll always be fun!
