What is the soundtrack to your life? If there was an album composed of various tracks for various seasons of your life, what would it be like? Would there be celebratory songs and shouts of praise? Because when life gets hard, it’s easy to be numbed or even cynical. And sometimes our worship reflects that. But our worship should have a Halal (the celebration of praise) and Shabach (the shout of praise) in every season! When you stop letting circumstances dictate your worship and instead start viewing your circumstances through a lens of Halal and Shabach – things change! It’s one reason WHY the Bible commands us over and over to sing. God doesn’t need our worship. He deserves it. WE are the ones who need it! But tonight we’ll continue looking at the HOW we worship based on the seven Hebrew words for it – and tonight it’s Halal (the celebration of praise) and Shabach (the shout of praise).
