Holy Saturday- Lessons from the last 8 days of Jesus Life and Ministry

We are almost there. It's Holy Saturday. Thank you For 1,600 years, Christians worldwide have commemorated the last days of Jesus' life during Holy Week. Today, we observe Holy Saturday, which marks the day Jesus rested in his tomb. However, we know very little about what occurred during this time. We do know that it was the Sabbath, a day of rest for devout Jews. Additionally, the religious leaders were apprehensive. Jesus had proclaimed that he would rise from the dead on the third day (Matthew 27:62-63), and they feared that his disciples might steal his body and claim that he had risen from the dead, exacerbating their problems. As a result, they requested that the Roman governor post guards at Jesus' tomb prevent any false resurrections (Matthew 27:64-65). Aside from that, little is known about what transpired on this particular Saturday.
