Thoughts on Today’s Message From the Pastor Scriptures: Luke 3:21-22, 24:49, John 16:7, 4:14, 6:53-57,14:26,4:31-34, Acts 1:5-8 In a marriage relationship, it is crucial that both parties share the same goals and that their efforts are aligned, ensuring their hearts and actions remain in sync through frequent communication. A relationship functioning this way will survive the hills and valleys, weaknesses, and the problems that can occur in this life. But, as with a railroad, if the track falls out of alignment by just one degree, failure is not far down the road. Jesus continues to seek to reconcile the world to His Father today, but instead of being physically present, He has you and me to act as His body, sharing the truth, ministering to needs, and seeking to reconcile the lost to God.  A person’s intention to do the will of God and the will of Jesus may be sincere, but without feeding on the teachings, example, and love of Jesus Christ through the Holy Spirit, they will not receive the spiritual food they need for spiritual health and direction. Life can get chaotic, and we may find ourselves lacking the time or energy to accomplish all that we want. It is at this time that we may miss the opportunity to commune with the Lord, and the devil can see an opportunity to subtly steer you away from God's will.
