Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.” John 14:26-27 NKJV Introduction We are living the world that is full of uncertainty, fear, desperation, despair and anxiety  If you don’t believe me watch the news and then come back and tell People are living their life in a fast lane and don’t have peace Jesus Himself is empowering the church with the Power of the Holy Spirit - to produce the fruit of peace Holy Spirit will teach us all things  Who or what is teaching you about peace in your life? You won’t learn everything you need to know from TV and peoples opinions on social media not as the world gives do I give to you. Jesus is personalizing it in saying “My Peace” Ingredients Of Peace  “Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.” Philippians 4:6-7 Don’t worry about anything  Pray about everything, I mean everything. There is no small prayer If it’s a concern to you pray about it to God who is bigger than your circumstances  Peace of God will be a result of your prayer and confidence in God The peace of surpasses all understanding  Our understanding is too limited to sustain peace in our heart Sustained Peace Philippians 4:8-9 Is it possible that we are not experiencing the peace because of the negative things we meditate upon  Negative energy is a peace killer  These are things we should meditate upon  Pursue Peace “Pursue peace with all people, and holiness, without which no one will see the Lord: looking carefully lest anyone fall short of the grace of God; lest any root of bitterness springing up cause trouble, and by this many become defiled;” Hebrews 12:14-15 NKJV We pursue peace with all people  Stop going around provoking people everywhere you go  Stop provoking people on social media  Be a good driver if you made a mistake in the road, apologize Be quick to let go of bitterness and anger  Have a clean conscience and live a peaceful life  II Corinthians 13:11 NKJV Romans 15:13 NKJV Colossians 3:15 NKJV Fight For Peace Exodus 14:14 NKJV The devil wants you to twist this vice averse to pursue peace with him and fight for peace with people Always remember people are not your enemy, devil is God spoke these words to the children of Israel when they were facing the Red Sea Something had to die for them to have peace Your pride have to die for you to have peace Your stubbornness, argumentative attitude, Mr & Mrs always right and bad habits God will drown all the negativity in the Red Sea I Timothy 6:12 NKJV When there is war, we fight for peace When there is peace, we prepare for war If the enemy rises against us when we least expect him, he will overwhelm us We don’t negotiate peace with the devil Conclusion: Inner Peace  Mark 4:35-41 NKJV Psalms 4:8 NKJV In John 1426-27: Jesus says “My Peace” What will it cost for us to have His peace? Some relationships would still be standing today if we allowed His peace to manifest in us  You could have kept that job and got your promotion if you pursued peace  Jesus’ peace is from within  The reason why the storm obeyed is because He had peace within  You can also command peace over all storms in your life in Jesus Name  But it has to come from within
