Holy Spirit - Trinity
from Chris Stuart - Tyndale’s Plowboy Hosted by cstpb
The central message of this sermon series on the Holy Spirit is that God's nature cannot be fully comprehended or understood by humanity, but rather it can be experienced and known through relationship with Him. The speaker argues that Pascal's statement "it is possible to know God as long as we do not insist on understanding him" captures the essence of this idea. This message advances the belief in the transcendence and mystery of God, suggesting that His nature is beyond human rational comprehension. By emphasizing the importance of revelation and experience over mere intellectual understanding, the speaker encourages listeners to approach their relationship with God as a personal and intimate one, rather than trying to grasp Him through logic or reason alone. The takeaway is that true knowledge of God comes not from trying to understand His nature, but from experiencing His presence and power in one's life.
