Today marks the first-day of the African Home Education Indaba Conference. The three-day conference aims to bring to the spotlight issues surrounding home education on the African continent. The small gathering brings together up to thirty delegates from six international and African countries. The CEO of a home-schooling education institute Brainline, which is organising this event, Coleen Cronje says that the biggest challenge for home-schooling is the misunderstanding between parents and governments in South Africa on the issue of parent’s rights to choose this kind of schooling system.Benjaminn Moshatama today speaks to • Godfrey Kyazee, CEO of Uganda Masters Institute for Education, • Cornelia Marais - Public Relations Officer Pezalozzi Trust • and Coleen Cronje, the CEO of Brainline.
