Home Theater Experience: Until Dawn

THANK YOU for PUSHING PLAY Plus, Greyhound's Home Theater Debut: A Kaleidescape Exclusive! Another week and another very fun show… This week: DJ gets a little salty, John goes on a rant and Steve is sleeping with the cows!! Enjoy!! Lets get into ALL our Home Theater Experiences! So much fun! “If you can’t laugh while talking Home Theater, you’re doing something wrong.” Right? Push Play and hear for yourself. In this episode, John and DJ dive into a variety of topics, starting with a discussion on the Billy Joel documentary, which reveals the autobiographical nature of his songwriting. They also touch on Bruce Springsteen's storytelling in "Springsteen on Broadway," highlighting the personal experiences that influence his music. They are then joined, by phone, with Steve and the conversation shifts to the challenges and trends in physical media, particularly the scarcity and pricing of steelbook releases, and the impact this has on collectors and the industry. They also explore the economic models behind these releases and speculate on the future of physical media in the digital age. The boys review several films, including "The Beast Within" and "In the Lost Lands," both of which offer unique takes on horror and fantasy but with varying levels of success. "Until Dawn" is highlighted as a standout for its engaging horror Groundhog Day concept. They also discuss the recent release of "Greyhound" on Kaleidoscape, a long-awaited addition for home theater enthusiasts. The episode wraps up with reflections on the end of an era for the podcast's current studio setup and a look forward to future episodes. CHAPTERS 1.
