Homecoming | Part 2 | Storytellers: From Atheist To Christian

from V1 Church

Hebrews 11:1-2 The fundamental fact of existence is that this trust in God, this faith, is the firm foundation under everything that makes life worth living. It’s our handle on what we can’t see. The act of faith is what distinguished our ancestors, set them above the crowd. How you deal with the unseen is connected. A God you can’t see... what about a future you can’t see either? Do you speak to it? Faith for a Heavenly Father Faith for a Heavenly Future How you deal with people's’ opinions - I can’t believe you go to church, believe in God... they’re not going to believe in your UNSEEN future either. Christian atheists Don’t have a God problem, they have a Church problem. Senses there’s something more, but accepts there’s nothing at all Colossians 1:18-20 15-18 We look at this Son and see the God who cannot be seen. We look at this Son and see God’s original purpose in everything created. For everything, absolutely everything, above and below, visible and invisible, rank after rank after rank of angels—everything got started in him and finds its purpose in him. He was there before any of it came into existence and holds it all together right up to this moment. And when it comes to the church, he organizes and holds it together, like a head does a body. I love Jesus, but I don’t like the church = “I like you, but can’t stand your wife.”
