Homegrown - Ep. #1041

from Home Grown with RP Smith · host R.P. Smith

Down to earth, funny, christian cowboy poet R.P. Smith from Broken Bow, Nebraska. Listen in and you'll be blessed. I may not be back in the saddle but at least I am in a chair and at the keyboard, three weeks ago I was dismounted in a very unceremonious way, this is to say, my best efforts did not even come close to matching those of a horse I used to ride. Two and a half of the last three weeks were spent in the excellent care of the team at Bergan Mercy hospital in Omaha Nebraska. While I was in the hospital I was asked several times a day what my pain level was, on a scale of one to ten, when I got home I posed a question to my son Caleb, trying to pose the question in a positive light, I asked what his love level was for the cattle business, granted they had gone through a tuff day hauling pairs, dealing with some mechanical breakdowns, and not being able to finish the job as planned, he grinned slightly, but did not give me an answer. I have titled this new poem 'Stepping Off' Thanks for riding along on homegrown this morning, hoping that the Lord blesses you real good today, that he is raining on your place and that our happy trails cross again soon. R.P. has some openings if you need an entertaining speaker. Home Grown in a production of R.P. Smith https://www.rpsmith.us
