Homeless Man Defends Himself Against Teens | Miami News

A 45-year-old homeless man, Moses Mercea, found himself at the center of a viral confrontation outside a McDonald’s in Dania Beach after being cut off by a bike rider — leading to an alleged scuffle with teens. While video shows him defending himself, authorities say he initiated the conflict with threats. Mercea insists he was just trying to avoid a collision and didn’t intend to provoke anyone — even calling the kids “twerps” when asked about racial slurs. He now wants the matter buried and refuses to press charges, hoping for peace after a chaotic day that left him without a home.
