Homicide 18-187227 Destiney Bocanegra

On April 21, 2018, the Lee County Sheriff’s responded to a report of a just occurred shooting in Bonita Springs, Florida.  Upon arrival on scene, deputies discovered 25 year old Destiney Bocanegra shot to death outside of a friend’s home. Further investigation revealed she was a victim of a drive-by shooting in the late hours of the night.   Destiney was pregnant at the time of her death, and was the mother of a small child. Unfortunately, her child was present that night and witnessed the shooting.
