In this two-part homily, Fr. Mattingly first explains how there is something lacking in the way that most Catholics approach the season of Lent, and how you might adopt a fresh perspective. Second, he draws on Jesus’ parable from the Gospel to explain the importance of self-knowledge, and how we can grow in it. He is currently the associate pastor at Our Lady of Good Counsel Parish, as well as the diocesan director for young adults and campus ministry.
