Homosexuality

from Central Community Church | Sermon Audio · host Matt Shantz

Romans 1:26-1:27 | There are few issues in our day that are more polarizing than homosexuality. On the whole Christianity is perceived as a faith that hates gay people, which just isn't true. That said, many church-goers and churches have behaved badly. They have been unwelcoming, rude, judgemental, and even hateful. Christians need to know how to hold the Truths of Scripture faithfully and not capitulate to the culture on the one hand, and uphold our call to be salt and light, filled with love for our neighbour? straight and gay alike? on the other. If we cannot learn how to live Christianly around this (a compelling and credible witness), we will have no platform, no voice, and no right to share how our identity in Christ supersedes and transcends everything else about us, including sexual identity.
