Michael and Carlee Otero are a married rodeo team from Perrin, Texas, whose careers span multiple disciplines and generations of rodeo tradition.Carlee Otero is a professional barrel racer with a storied career. She began competing at a young age, influenced by her mother Danita Walker, a skilled barrel racer and roper. Carlee earned multiple NFR qualifications (2011–12, 2014, 2024–25) and in 2025 finished ranked 5th in the world with $325,166 in earnings, winning four rounds at the NFR. She has also claimed major rodeo wins, including the Utah Days of ’47 Rodeo, National Western Stock Show, and multiple regional events. He competes in events like the Fort Worth Stock Show & Rodeo, where he has tied for top spots and advanced to semi-finals. His rodeo roots run deep — he is the son of a roper — and he often competes alongside his wife at major rodeos.Family and Rodeo TraditionThe Oteros are part of a multigenerational rodeo family. Carlee’s parents competed in barrel racing and roping, and Michael’s family has a long history in roping. They often compete together at events, supporting each other on the track. Their two sons, Hudson and Houston, also participate in rodeo, continuing the family’s involvement.Shared PassionMichael and Carlee’s shared love for rodeo has made them a respected couple in the sport. They balance their careers with family life, and their daughters Makala and Jacy have also taken up barrel racing, inspired by their mother. The Oteros’ dedication, resilience, and teamwork have earned them admiration in the rodeo community. In short, Michael and Carlee Otero represent a rare rodeo couple whose careers, family, and deep-rooted tradition in the sport make them a notable part of professional rodeo history.#Health, #HealthTalk, #HonestHealth, #JeffreyBurke, #DrJeffreyBurke, #JonTheAnnouncer, #HealthPodcast, #Podcast, #NaturalProducts, #HerbalMedicine, #WholeFoodsMagazine, #Rodeo, #NFR #WPRA
