from BBC Radio Foyle · host BBC Radio Foyle

A retired teacher from South Africa has been describing how he tried in vain to save the lives of the Co Down couple drowned on their Honeymoon last week. The bodies of newlyweds John and Lynette Rodgers, from Holywood were found on a beach at Plettenberg Bay in the Western Cape. Later this morning a joint funeral will be held for the couple at First Holywood Presbyterian Church - the same church where the couple were married.
