Summary

"Hong Kong Phooey" is another soundtrack piece from an indie-film project I'm currently a part of. This track's title and vibe come from the haze I was in after just returning from 2 weeks in Hong Kong. The title is not about the old cartoon, it's more of a play on words that describes the trip's twists and turns. Hong Kong can be a bit of a sensory overload, but there's always an adventure or two that pop-up when you're there. In any case, this piece was done as a scene piece for the indie-film "Quiet Doer", which I've been releasing a-lot of music for as of late. This track, "Hong Kong Phooey" has some serious "Pink Floyd" influence to it, but the under-layering of the track is actually vibing off an old Don Henley song from the 80's called "Dirty Laundry". While that influence is hard to find in the guitar, the drums and bass are really pumping it out for sure. However you slice it, this is a concept soundtrack piece. I don't always share these, but this one chills niceley if you've got a good set of headphones. This is mixed wide for film, so it's designed for surround-sound or THX type experiences. Laptop speakers might be a waste on this one, but hey... enjoy it anyway.. and as always.. CRANK IT UP!!!!! way up!!
