Humans protect their weaker body parts such as organs. If you mistreat your intestines, the one who suffers is you. So why would a husband mistreat his wife who is his other half. 2) Believing husbands and wives are heirs together of the grace of live both physically and spiritually. Isaac pled to God for Rebecca to have a child and God listened to him. Birthing children is a grace of life to create life that we don't deserve. The wives' spiritual inheritance in heaven is equal to the husbands'. Husbands with the role as spiritual head should not disrespect her as a fellow believer. He should be warned that she has a spiritual capacity equal to his and is an equal child of God.
