Pastor continues in 1 Peter chapter 2. Let our conduct be honorable before the world. Our attitude should be that of a sojourner as heaven is our home. The world is just waiting for you to lose your temper, to do something that isn't honorable, to be cross and grumpy, to talk slanderously. Your relationship with the world should be one where you are honorable among them and good towards them with no expectation of them reciprocating that to us. The extent to which God is glorified in heaven is dependent upon people seeing you exercise personal holiness, of being honorable. There is a value beyond this life that glorifies God. The world needs an impecable testimony of the holiness of Jesus Christ.
