Honoring God

Have you ever wondered what it really means to honor God? At some point in our Christian walk, Holy Spirit plants a deep desire in us to honor the Lord, but what does this entail? Today I would like to discuss the steps to take to honor God’s will for our life as well as honoring Him not because of the things he is able to do for us, but because of who He is. The bible says that He is worthy of all the glory, the honor, and the power. Honor begins in our heart and is reflected by the value we place on someone or something. We honor others to the degree that we consider their position and contributions significant. Some of these people include our parents, the elderly, and people who are placed as authority over our lives (boss, pastor, leaders, etc.) 1. Being Sexually Pure 2. Tithing 3. Delighting in the Lord 4. Seeking Him in Everything We Do 5. Desiring to Reflect Jesus' Heart & Character
