Hoop Talk Ep. 58: NBA Draft Analysis Series: Denver Nuggets
from The Hoop Talk Podcast with Jalon Dixon and Ryan Leshko · host Jalon Dixon and Ryan Leshko
The Basketball Podcast BY FANS, FOR FANS!With the NBA Draft just over a month away, the 2020 NBA Lottery has been set and the draft order is officially locked in. With that, each team prepares for October as some of the best college and overseas prospects all await that fateful day in hopes of hearing their name called by Commissioner Adam Silver. In this edition of the Hoop Talk Podcast, the guys take a look at the Denver Nuggets. After what has been an amazing and historical postseason run by the Nuggets, Denver is forced to go back to the drawing board after falling to LeBron James and the Lakers in the Western Conference Finals. This team is on the rise and will continue to be a threat atop the West, but they do have some holes that need to be filled if they look to make another run at the chip next season. The Nuggets only have the 22nd overall pick in this year’s draft but Denver has had a track record of taking a swing on questionable prospects and developing them in a way that brings out glimpses of their maximum potential. To put it plain and simple, the Nuggets are thin in the backcourt so its only their luck that they have a late first round pick in an extremely guard heavy draft which plays in their favor. Who do the guys think will be Denver’s next “Michael Porter Jr.”?
