With that, each team prepares for October as some of the best college and overseas prospects all await that fateful day in hopes of hearing their name called by Commissioner Adam Silver. In this edition of the Hoop Talk Podcast, the guys take a look at the Golden State Warriors. As if the Warriors needed any help getting back into the championship discussion next season, the NBA draft adds the 2nd overall pick to Golden State’s litany of weapons. Alongside the dynamic backcourt duo of Steph Curry and Klay Thompson with the Swiss army knife Draymond Green in the frontcourt, the Warriors have the chance to add a top tier talent like Lamelo Ball, James Wiseman, Deni Avdija and others. Golden State also has the 48th and 51st overall picks in the 2nd round which looks good for them considering that’s where they got guys like Green and their budding rookie forward Eric Paschall who made 1st team all-rookie over Lottery picks like R.J.
