Hoop Talk Ep. 79: NBA Draft Needs: New Orleans Pelicans

With that, each team prepares for October as some of the best college and overseas prospects all await that fateful day in hopes of hearing their name called by Commissioner Adam Silver. In this edition of the Hoop Talk Podcast, the guys take a look at the New Orleans Pelicans. Despite getting only a short glimpse of him this season, the emergence of rookie phenom Zion Williamson has already put immense pressure on the Pelicans to build a contending supporting cast around him. Along with potentially resigning All Star Brandon Ingram and shopping veteran guard Jrue Holiday, New Orleans also has a lot of draft capital in this draft. The Pelicans have four picks in this year's draft including one in the NBA Lottery, the 13th overall pick. These pick will give New Orleans a great amount of capital to move players, acquire talent and accumulate roster depth in a hurry.
