Hoop Talk Ep. 90: NBA Draft Needs: Washington Wizards

The Basketball Podcast BY FANS, FOR FANS!With the NBA Draft just over a month away, the 2020 NBA Lottery has been set and the draft order is officially locked in. With that, each team prepares for October as some of the best college and overseas prospects all await that fateful day in hopes of hearing their name called by Commissioner Adam Silver. In this edition of the Hoop Talk Podcast, the guys take a look at the Washington Wizards.The Washington Wizards may be one of the most interesting team in the Eastern Conference entering the 2021 season because they will finally be uniting the dynamic backcourt of All Star guards John Wall and Bradley Beal after two year's of missing Wall due to injury. This is a team that has the potential to trot out a starting lineup of Wall, Beal, Rui Hachimura, Davis Bertans and Thomas Bryant which could make them one of the most potent offensive starting lineups in the conference. The questions just come down to how they will be able to hang with the big titans amongst the top of the East, but this is a team with a lot of promise when Wall is healthy and hopefully with the re-signing of Bertans who was one of the best three-point shooters in the league last season. In the 2020 NBA Draft Washington has the 9th overall pick and the 37th overall pick which could be crucial in adding more depth to their Point Guard and Center positions. Last year the Wizards were able to acquire Hachimura with the 9th overall pick and he showed flashes of promise that he could be a potential building block for this team.
