Hoop Talk Ep. 96: Setting the Bar: NBA Edition
from The Hoop Talk Podcast with Jalon Dixon and Ryan Leshko · host Jalon Dixon and Ryan Leshko
Over the course of the last month, the NBA has introduced a new influx of parody across the league. The Atlanta Hawks have significantly improved with the signings of Danilo Gallinari, Rajon Rondo, Bogdan Bogdanovic and Kris Dunn. The Western Conference has become immensely more stacked with the return of Stephen Curry and the Golden State Warriors. There is not as significant of a gap in talent level between the teams amongst the top of both the Eastern and the Western Conference. Basically you have your favorites here and there but for the league is slowly reverting back to the times of parody and true competition. With all these improvements across the league, some teams will rise and others will fall. On this edition of the Hoop Talk Podcast, the fellas "set the bar" of expectations for some of the most notable teams in the NBA. This segment takes into account how these teams performed last season, what they did in the draft/free agency and how their team looks entering this season. The bar can either be set high meaning we have high hopes for them or the bar can be set low meaning that we expect very little. Will your favorite team have a high bar or a low bar?
