Both paths to Bloomington were long and winding for Mike Roberts. A childhood hooping in Terre Haute instilled in him a burning passion and determination to come back home and play for IU. Weeks before his freshman season Bobby Knight was fired, but "Boss" stuck by his teammates and they ended up playing for a national title. Roberts then set his sites on coaching and began his career with none other The General himself at Texas Tech. From there he made stops at Rice, Cal and UNCG, only to have his relentless hard work lead him right back to where he is meant to be... on the Indiana coaching staff.
