He is the 2019 winner of the American Psychological Association Schillinger Memorial prize for his essay on the link between jazz and psychoanalysis: "Reading the Changes: Freud's Improvisational  Art." He is currently working on a book entitled Developing a Therapeutic Voice: A Poetic and Practical Guide for Clinicians and Supervisors.  He currently works in private practice in Tarrytown, NY and as the Mental Health Educator at Manhattan School of Music.
