Hope for Postpartum Ep 25

from One Tough Momma · host Christine Siddens

"According to estimates from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), approximately 1 in 8 women (12-16%) experience symptoms of PPD within the first year after giving birth." Postpartum depression and baby blues used to be a topic left behind closed doors. It was misunderstood and very underreported. Although this is still true, it is becoming increasingly recognized and easier to discuss. Join me as I talk to my daughter about postpartum depression and baby blues. She has gone through this after the birth of two of her children and wanted to share her story. Our hope is that her struggle with postpartum depression and baby blues will help others to reach out, ask for help, or recognize that this is a real struggle for some moms. We hope that you will find comfort, that any shame be removed, and you can find rest in Jesus. If you need to talk, feel free to message me.
