Hope In 60 Seconds - Praying Simple Prayers

Hello and welcome to Van Life Devotions. Sometimes we think our prayers are too small to matter—but with God, no prayer is wasted. The Bible says, “The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective” (James 5:16 NIV). One prayer from Hannah brought Samuel into the world. One desperate cry from Peter stopped him from drowning. Prayer isn’t about fancy words; it’s about faith. Even a whispered prayer in the dark reaches heaven. A young mother, abandoned by her parents, planned to leave her children with a Christian friend in Tasmania and end her life. On the ferry, she found a Bible and was impacted by one verse: “For my father and my mother have forsaken me, but the Lord will take me in” (Psalm 27:10 ESV). She read for hours.
