Hopi Wisdom: Nine Prophecies and the Four Human Eras

The Hopi people preserved nine ancient prophecies describing the progression of human civilization through cyclical "worlds," asserting that humanity is currently in the final stages of the Fourth World. Eight of these predictions are widely believed to have already been fulfilled, accurately describing the arrival of Europeans with guns ("thunder"), the construction of railroads ("iron snakes") and communication networks ("spider webs"), and environmental disasters like oil spills turning the sea black. The final unfulfilled prophecy warns that a "Blue Star" or "dwelling place in the heavens" will fall to Earth, signaling a great purification and the beginning of a peaceful Fifth World.
