Horaizan

Horaizan is a short story following Jofuku, the Wise Man of China, who is sent by a ruthless emperor to find the herb of Immortality on a mythical island far to the east. Surviving shipwreck and solitude, he reaches Horaizan — a paradise where age, pain, and change do not exist. There he finds peace, until a second wise man arrives from Japan, haunted by a different word on his heart: "humanity."
