Hey, welcome back for another episode of Hanying. I'm Danny and I promise we're going to get to the episode. But I just wanted to make a couple announcements. Number one, we're not going to be doing one of our regular intros, but we've been doing here lately.

We've gotten a lot of good feedback on that. So thank you for the new type of intros that everyone's liking. After this announcement, I'm just going to go straight into the intro song and then to the episode. So yeah, stay tuned.

Today's episode is Horizon Comics Comic Fest. We did a special appearance there where our podcast was live on site, where we got to interview Roger, some artists that were there. They had a couple booths and some customers, some low customers having coming through. So there are just many origin episodes of people and their lives and where they come from and how they got involved into conv books and nerd Greek world.

So it's about five different people that I interview. They're really short episodes anywhere between five to 10 minutes that we just crammed into this entire episode. So yeah, I hope you all like it. I hope you all enjoy this is a little bit of a different type of episode that we usually do.

But we hope you enjoy it because we get to hear more about people in their lives surrounding nerd culture and what they like to do. So yeah, I hope you all enjoy it. Also, we did do a follow up crossover with the Waffle Cast Podcast, which will be coming out next week. We did an episode on the DC University of streaming systems, as well as DC Titans.

Those will be coming out next week. They were long episodes. So it's a lot of editing that has to get done. So yeah, we just wanted to get that out to you as soon as possible.

And then we do have another episode with Colton and his friend Kaz. So we have a lot of content that's going to be coming out in the next couple of weeks. Stay tuned. Just wanted to get to all that announcement for Halloween and for Thanksgiving for the holidays coming up.

We're going to have a little bit of a different pace here of episodes where we talk about a little bit of different things. But yeah, thank you all again for chiming in. And we'll talk to you all later. And welcome back from another episode of Apppeanyering.

We're here at Horizon Comics at Halloween Comic Fest. And today on our special guest, we have the owner of Horizon Comics, Roger May. Roger Sayhi. Hey, guys.

Hey, there he is. If you guys don't remember, right? Well, if you don't remember, I don't know if that's a proper frame, but that is the same. If you all remember, Roger has been a special guest on our episode.

A lot of times when you did Rebirth when DC rebooted their entire comic book line. Roger was on a couple episodes. We had an original episode with Roger. We've run it on the show multiple times.

So we are actually here for his comic fest, where if you are all in the Anil Valley area, make sure for free comic book day or Horizon Halloween comic fest, come on out. We have some artists here. We have FacePain and we have some backlog. Roger has some free comics.

But we're going to talk a little bit about Roger Day more about Halloween comic fest. But before we do that, I'm going to host Danny. We also have, and then we have Roger. As our special guest, I was already sent.

So Roger, starting out, we're here at your shop for Halloween comic fest. Where did this all be? Can't. Well, you mean Halloween comic fest in general?

Yeah, in general. OK. Halloween comic fest started, I think, about six years ago. And it's basically the spiritual sister to free comic book day, which is always the first Saturday in May.

And free comic book day has been going on for about 17 or 18 years now. Oh, wow. And it's for most comic shops. It's the busiest day of the year by far.

We attract three to 400 people in one day to the shop on free comic book day. And I think what they wanted to do was to have another day in the fall because in spring, it's so popular. So they created Halloween comic fest to kind of kick off the holiday season for comic shops and give out free Halloween themed comics. So you get some ghost stories and stuff like that.

And he's going to be doing it. I don't know if they're going to be this year or not. You would think. Did Jim Lee have a Scooby Doo run here recently?

No, he did a cover. Oh, he just did the cover of it? He did it. He made the interiors.

Scooby Apocalypse. Yeah. But I think it was only the first issue. I want to say.

But this year, Halloween comic fest is still gaining traction. It gets a little bit better every year. But for us, personally, this year, it's given us a chance to show off our new back room. What used to be all storage.

Now we've kind of turned it into an event room. If you guys want to check out some of the pics and stuff, check us out on Instagram or Facebook. You can see what it looks like. Yeah, at her eyes and comics.

Yeah, it looks good for some scene today. Yeah. Did you get like a zorro? I saw it.

It looks great. It looks great. And then look. What's at right on top of the Coca-Cola?

The apple? Yeah. Quarterbounds. What's the quarterbounds?

I mean, that could be Ini-Out. You could have been to the Owlman or something. Come on. No, I would go up in here, dude.

That's fair. That's fair. You see the Joker card? Oh, we're in.

Yeah. I saw that. OK. But Colin got it.

You saw that. Danny's powers of observation. Are we? What on his shit?

Where is it? You were such a scrub. There's a difference between seeing it and not understanding it. But I can't even find it.

Dude, you're a dad. You're supposed to have ice in the back of your head. Yeah. That's why my kids are going to be doing this.

Oh, man. Dude. He says it is. Wow.

Just straight out, dude. You're looking right on the seat. Wow. Wow.

I didn't even see it. Edit that up. Yeah. So I plan to continue to drop Easter eggs in the back.

That's cool. It's really cool. The guy who did the mural for us is Brian Lopez. You can follow him on Instagram at B, the number two, R-I-A-N-L-S.

Really, really awesome local artist. He's also doing, he's going to be working on an acne receiving sign to put up in the back. Nice. Yeah.

So we keep improving it. And this is something that I always wanted to do. I'm so stoked to have the space now to do it. Yeah.

To bring in local artists like David and Pepe and Brian. So where the storage bill, though? Is that secret? We sold it.

Oh, wow. We sold it all. Yeah. Nice.

Okay. So now I've got. That took about a month to two months. We blew out like 80,000 comics.

Wow. Mostly to dealers. That was a bloodbath for us. No back supply.

But it was a bloodbath. It was a bloodbath. It was a bloodbath. It was a firefly.

But it financed the start of the back room. Yeah, yeah. It looks good. I mean, like you said, it's an event room.

I've been here multiple times. I come at least once, maybe two times a week. So after dark. So we're talking about Horizon after dark when it comes to this event room that we're in right now for a comic fest.

But during the week where we can't switch. Yeah, primarily, you know, the main purpose of it is an event room to be able to have more space in the store to hold different types of events and stuff. But in the meantime, we do every Friday in the 70, 90s, Horizon comics after dark. Typically from six to 11, although we have been here as late as two in the morning.

Cool. But it's, you know, yeah, last night, last night we actually had to give up around the 15, 16th inning. It was like, we got to get up early. I think that happened to me on quid baseball.

Eighteen innings, man. And then you'll win. You win. The Dodgers won.

Oh, they did win. Oh, my chest. No, someone was pulling your leg. Everyone was like, oh, they're lost again.

No, Muncie. He's a jacked one. I was still quick. Friday night, we do our podcast here.

All Star Comics podcast Saturday night is mostly a game night. We do poker tournaments once a month, which is a lot of fun. Texas Hold'em. Texas Hold'em.

Nice. It was fun. It was especially when Theresa wins. She won the first one we did.

Oh, man. What's the point for that? Pointy bucks. I went two and a half hours away.

But then I also want to. Yeah. Other night time, we run D&D campaigns back here. We play board games.

Yeah, there's snacks. Do you have stuff like here? Here. Your clicks is good, man.

Yeah, that's really interesting. I am so down to have any type of stuff. If somebody wants to come in and play and hit all my clicks. It's like we've also done some video game tournaments back here.

We usually, right now we've got a guy running our video game tournaments. We did an injustice two tournament. We did a Mario Kart tournament. Those are really cool.

Those are usually Saturday mornings. But I would be totally down for if anybody else wants to run their D&D game. If they want to get together a clicks tournament or something like that, hit me up. We're not a game shop.

But I am totally down to have people come in and utilize this space. I don't have a lot of space to get used together. It's expanding the community. I mean, you don't out front, you don't just have convokes.

You have act fairs. You do have board games out there. You have other things. So it's expanding the community that you've already started.

Having this tight knit group that you already have, now it's expanding even more. So that's really, really good. And if it, you know, we've never been a game shop, but I don't know if there's a demand. If we start getting support like that, who knows?

You did carry clicks for a bit though as well. We carried clicks for a long time. But then we started getting a lot of games. You were pretty much kind of just a business with the clicks.

And I would start carrying them again if we had that crowd coming back in here. There's just a lot of competition for the gaming market up here in the valley. But we'll see where it goes. Right over the bridge.

Over the bridge. Over the boulevard. I mean, I'm trying to talk to Roger. Like looking to have another joint tournament with some of the other gamers out here.

And how about DBC? Right here. I'd love to bring my guys down. I mean, I would say as small as CVS, we've got a relatively good basis of players.

I mean, we've got a good amount of players who played DBC and smashed. And we've got good players. I mean, people who have got out and played other really good players with notable wins. I mean, people who were just being casual, conversing on the road up.

This guy, I forgot his name. Something wolf. But our buddy from CVS, Squiddy Beat him. And that's one of the best Sonic players out there.

As far as Sammurd, you know, and CVS. He's a top player, people know about it. So we've got some good players. I would love to come down and play.

I'm sure. Cool. We'll have them all here and get together for a tournament. Cool.

Yeah, that'd be awesome. They love the venue. Raj, we're going to start interviewing some of your artists here. Some of the customers going through, talking about them and their comics.

I mean, I'll get that part out. Any last words on the Horizon Comics comic fest or after dark? No, we just appreciate everybody coming out and supporting the shop and hanging out with us. Having a good time.

So whether it's Halloween comic fest, Recombic Day, Horizon Comics after dark, the whole point of all of this is to bring the community together. Because we've got an awesome customer base, a lot of good people, and being able to hang out with like minded individuals and swap stories and have fun. It's a good time. It's always fun.

I always have it. Well, thanks Raj and we'll talk to you again soon. Thanks guys. For a full-length episode when we're talking about something.

That was good. Thanks Raj. Hello and welcome back. We are here at Horizon Comics for their Halloween comic fest.

We are going to be interviewing some people here. We just interviewed Roger and the owner of Horizon Comics and then one of the regular guests here at Horizon Comics in Matt Luebick. Also the producer on all Star Comics podcast. I'm the producer on the All Star Comics podcast, regular customer, technically working.

Very lightly. So we're going to do small, you know, small interviews of people, you know, here, some of the artists here, some of the customers here coming in and out. We wanted to, you know, some of the regular customers here and some of the regular people, regular people, practically work here. I'm here all the time.

Yeah, yeah, yeah. I'm just going to come here. I'm like, I'm sure I'm going to see one of four people. Johnny, Jonathan, Matt, Kayla.

Yeah. One of us is here all the time. It's in our contract. It's in our contract.

It's in our contract. It's in our contract. You know, one of us? Cool, cool, Ben.

Well, so how do you think comic fest is working out? I think it's cool. I mean, if you guys can hear it in the background, there's a lot of fun. It's not a free comic book date.

We have between 200 people throughout the day, but I think so far we've had about 50 people come in. Yeah, it's good to study club. Yeah, it's not bad. You know, so I mean, whatever's good for the shop, I'm all for you.

Yeah, yeah. Oh, that's all we want. That's why we're here in the engineering. I know that's why a lot of people come out, because Roger Rogers is a great guy and everyone.

Roger's one of those people in my world that like, no one does. Like, I can't imagine anyone not liking Roger. Yeah, it's a damn near impossible. Yeah, exactly.

There's good people. Yeah, there's amazing people. Okay, so we're going to talk comics to this conversation. Let's do it.

We'll do a real quick origins episode for you. I know we're going to get you on a show. Which I have to ask. Who came up with origins?

Because we've been doing origins for three years. You guys just started doing origins. I was like, I didn't know. I've listened to a few of your guys' episodes.

I didn't know you guys did like origin episodes. Yeah, whenever we have a new guest. Okay, so this is how it happened real quick. A few of our listeners that write into us on the more frequent told us they want to hear more about our normal lives.

Yeah, and so without even knowing you guys did that, we were like, hey, let's do a thing. I didn't come up with the name. You can play Jonathan. But I was like, I told Roger that, hey, if you want to do a little more interviews.

It's a little more formal. Yeah, yeah. You guys are a little more open topic. Yeah.

A little more formal. I have a list of questions. It's more like an interview one on one show. But it's very similar.

We shot it out there. Hey, some of our listeners have said this. What does everyone else think? Yeah.

We got some more feedback and people were like, yeah, do that. I want to hear the backstory of you guys specifically comics how you got into it. And then anything else that flows into that story. Exactly.

Yeah. So ours is just nerd culture. We're nerd demoed. Some people, it's music, it was movies, it was comics.

Our focus is on comics really much more. Yeah, it's the same idea. But it's a little more focused, a little more question based interview-ish. But I mean, hey man, copying is the best form of flatter.

Exactly. I just saw that. But now Rogers is like, yeah, we have an origin. He's like, you guys got to always like, and he looked at me and he's like, I think like a light bulb went on in his eyes.

He's like, oh yeah, you can do that too. We didn't even, that wasn't our idea. Like I said, I don't mean it that way. I think it's a great idea.

I mean, that's why we did it. It's a great idea that you have your regular episodes and then origins. Like, I want to know a little bit more about this person. It's such so great.

It goes well. Yeah. Oh, no. Oh, man.

Oh, man. God of War, Ken, that was amazing. I'm gonna turn the shot off. Oh, man.

Oh, man. Oh, man. Oh, man. Oh, man.

Oh, man. Oh, no, no, no. Oh, man. Oh, man.

Oh, man. Oh, man. Oh, man, I know it's... Oh.

Oh, man. Oh, man, I'm gonna destroy a lot of them. Oh, man. Oh, man.

That's awesome. Oh. Oh man. Oh, man.

It's one of those games where it's a masterpiece and it's a must-play. Oh yeah. It's just a must-play. Yeah, like I wasn't on the- I was just like, okay, and you got to work something out.

Cool. I thought it was gonna be like just the stereotypical one. Right. Yeah, it was gonna kill a lot of things.

But it wasn't. It was very strategically planned out. The story was good. There's a little bit of areas in the story that kind of like if I sat down and there was like a rocket or if I'm walking down the street and like a pebbles in my shoe.

You know? And I was like, I don't know if I feel uncomfortable about that story aspect. Okay. But it wasn't bad.

Like it wasn't anything to me. Like, oh, like it sucks. In some people's eyes it could be a 10, but I don't think no matter what lens you look at it is any less than a nine. Oh yeah.

Out of 10. Yeah. There's no way. So, you know, it's just that says something.

It's like, it's one of those games when you look back at the top 10, whatever list of all time. God Wars gonna be on it from now on. But God Wars on there, like it says Spider-Man's on there. What about the new Spider-Man game that just came out?

As you mentioned earlier, do I plan on it? I just 100% of the DLC this past weekend? Oh really? Yeah.

I just started playing it with my kid the other day. Oh, you said you plan on it a bit? No, I plan on the original game. Not the DLC.

I just beat the shocker that's like the first third of the game. It wasn't that hard. Spider-Man, I have a lost tattoo. Lost is my top.

Really? Dude, I know we can have this argument. But, uh, Lost is one of my favorite things ever. I'll give you this.

Lost the first three seasons. I absolutely adore it. Okay, we don't need it. That's what we can agree about.

That's what we can agree about. I'll say all six seasons, man. Like, there were six seasons. Okay.

It wasn't that long. I don't know what it was. Because every season, two or season two or season two or season two or season two or season get shorter. Oh yeah.

Oh yeah. So, okay. So, what's the Dharma? If you know Lost, it's the Hydrosation.

So, more specific. So, there's a television show? There's your video game. You have a comic book.

What about movie? What's the top movie? My favorite movie ever made is Back to the Future Part 1. That's, that's, that's.

You can't go wrong with that, man. It's like so good. Like, it's kind of like, it's kind of like, I only feel listening to Dan Cook. But, whatever he says, uh, there's a thing he says, like, when someone says FU, like, you can't top that.

You know, you can't top that. You can't, you can't, oh yeah. You can't do that. This one people are like, my favorite movie?

Back to Future. You could debate. Yeah, exactly. You know, like, you can't, like, you gotta give total props.

Like, some people are like, that's fine, but it was, we're gonna be amazing. It was amazing. Okay, I can feel that. Marty McFly, man.

Marty McFly. Go go back. Well, these are these mini-episodes we will have you on, because I think we're gonna try and have you on for our Arkham series. We're gonna do a new game, Arkham series, here, coming up with a crossover with the well-read mage, Moses Norton.

So, we're gonna try and have you on there, and, uh, but thank you for coming off of these new episodes here at, uh, at the Halloween Comic Fest. And, uh, we'll have you on pretty soon. There we go. Hello, welcome back.

David O'Royo here. He is one of the artists here at Halloween Comic Fest. David, go ahead and say hi. Hi.

Hi. So we're gonna be talking about your favorite since he's mini-episodes, origins of David O'Royo. Um, actually, I know you and your family, your dad's a doctor, you know, and he delivered my two brothers. Oh, okay.

So, and he was my doctor for like the first, like, one of years of my life. So I know you all know me, but like, I do know you. So, um, we're gonna talk about your culture and your origins. So like, where did your culture get started for you?

Where did that all start for you? Was it your dad? Well, and it's not to you or that. My dad was a comic fan from young age and he was one of the earliest adult comic fans.

He was one of the earliest adult comic stores. So I kind of grew up in an early comic store. Okay. So for me, comics were always around.

And I was like, say, my earliest comics that I would get would be the Diamond Bend at the store. And I'd flip through it while he was doing his business. Yeah, yeah, I do. And usually because we behaved the store owner would, you know, give us one.

Well, treat something like that. And that's why my favorite comics is a lot of the time are the second tier stuff. Really? Because I started with the...

Is it just like nostalgia-ish? It's just like nostalgia-ish? It's just a lot of the time the second tier stuff reaches more. I can see that.

So, okay, in comics, what? Okay, are you Marvel DCI? Not really either anymore, but I used to be more Marvel guy. Okay.

Last decade, I was really under DC before the New 52. I mean, New 52 didn't ruin it for me. Right, right. I really liked the way everything was at that time.

Right before the New 52. Yeah, it was a very fun time for comics. I was reading some of the Batbooks. Detective?

No, I wasn't reading that. I was in Batgirl and I was dipping into Batman here and there. Okay. So that's Batman Wrestling Peace Time period.

With that, it's Grant Morrison. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah, it's a lot of stuff that the TV show does.

Does it really show? Yeah, started in that series. Oh, wow. Yeah, my son really likes this.

It's a really interesting show. Yeah, it was a lot of fun. So right now, I mean, we don't have to say in DC or Marvel, but you say, I'm not either right now. I see that you're an artist and we'll get to where your love of Artistry got to.

To the point. Beautiful art, by the way. Thank you. So, what are you right now, Phantom?

Is it Marvel? Like, it's interesting. I read a few. I read a few.

I read a few. Lately, actually I haven't been reading all that much because I've just been really busy with the art. Uh-huh. I've been collecting and what I read is I read a lot of Terry Moore's art.

Okay. You know, S about a rabbit samurai. Oh, okay. And it's kind of fun because it's actual Japanese history, but it's also a lot of Japanese because it's after Morpik.

He puts in a lot of Japanese mythology too. So there's Oni and all that sort of thing. So have you ever seen Kenshin? The last one?

Yes, I have. So you know how that takes place after the like, the, yeah, the Meiji Restoration. Exactly. Exactly.

So like, is it kind of like that? It's a period piece? This takes place in a fictional world, but it's the Warring States era of Japan. So what we call feudal Japan.

Oh, okay. So like the time period of Yojimbo, the movie, the Chorsa movie, and like Seven Samurai. Oh, okay. So I'm not a fan of the other host, who's not, who can't be here today, but Jason, he's a huge lover of, you know, Jeff, he's a cultural, feudal time period, loves Kenshin.

That's his number one anime kind of thing. So I bet he's probably either heard that. If he hasn't heard that, I bet he would let Warring go. Oh, yeah.

Ustagio Jimbo. Ustagio Jimbo. It's my honest, I'm a stanza Kai. Okay.

That's pretty much the only thing he's done in his entire career. Oh, wow. I mean, he's not only that he let her books and stuff, but you know, it's his man. It's his man, it's his man, no mopis.

Oh, okay. So, okay. So you guys now name your dad and comic book the show off. Something like that, and you start getting into...

Is this your comic right here? It's your comic? Okay, go ahead. Go ahead and pick your comic book.

Oh, yeah. My comic is the superhero back here. Oh, yeah. My comic is the super chaihiricic.

It's a funny superhero book. It's about a gal named Alice Adams, who is a science student, and her internship director. Injects her with the mysterious p broadcast, which gives her super powers of light lightning and vulnerability. Now, she fights for truth and justice because it's awesome.

She's 4'11 of La Bass. into the art for it. I write and do the art for it. At issue three, I began a collaboration with my cousin, so we write it, we write it in a writer's room style.

We come up with ideas, then we go off and do our own writing, and then we edit each other's work, and then we arrive at a script, and then I draw it. And then you draw it? So the script comes first? Or is it you drawing it as the script?

Script comes first. When I first started drawing, I was a little, I guess what you call the Marvel Method, which is where I would out write it, and then I would sketch it, and then, which I think is the best way to write an action oriented and then I would just do a little bit of a comment. But now that I'm writing with a co-writer, I have to, you know, I have to... Collaboration?

Yeah, I have to fulfill his needs as well, and he's a dialogue guy. And so we now work up a whole script, and we don't do the whole, we don't do the whole page one, panel one, we don't do it that tightly, we write it like a screenplay. And then I'll sketch it, and then we'll adjust it as we go, and we'll be writing until the moment it's done, but we do start with the full script. Awesome, awesome.

Okay, so in comics we'll just go a little bit, what's your favorite movie? There's a little lightning round. Favorite movie? Right now I'd have to say Star Wars.

The original and the one that Star Wars. Really, like a lot of people like... A lot of people like Empire. It's a more fan choice.

Not that I'm not a Star Wars fan. But you know, empires where everything got broader, and the whole series really comes more off of Empire than the first movie. But no, that's not the first Star Wars movie. I'm probably like the last age group that got to see Star Wars as a standalone film.

Well, the first news I saw in the theater was Return of the Jedi. But for a long time for me, or at least a long time as a kid, for me, Star Wars was just one movie. And it's a nostalgia thing. It's also just a good movie.

It's so tightly written. Very much so. When did they change it to... Because I remember when I...

It's when it came out on video. When it came out on video. Or the theatrical re-release around the time. It was like early 80s.

It was very early. So I was born in late 80s. I remember going to Blockbuster and walking around my dad grabbing it. And on the cover it still said just Star Wars.

It didn't have new hope on there. So it must have been like a first print or something like that. They didn't start marketing it as a new hope until 1997. Okay.

Yeah. Yeah. I remember when I was born in the first print. I remember when I was born in the second print.

I remember when I was born in the first print. Yeah. They didn't start marketing it as a new hope until 1997. Okay.

Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. But the title card had been there since the early 80s.

It was one of the first places where George C.S.C. could stick with it. Look, he never did anymore of that. Okay.

So okay. So your, your, your, you're more more of a moral guy, but you have independence. You have movies... Favorite artist and writer.

That's tough because I know so many of those. Now, when you say that these are the first ones combined in mind? I know there's others that I love. Right now, one's...

One's come to mind. Jaime Hernandez, I'm loving rockets. I still love the work of John Byrne. He was the first artist that I started copying, which led to my drawing.

Then Terry Moore. And yeah, those are the top ones right now. Yeah, it's hard because yeah, so I mean. I could see it here for an hour.

Talk about it for artists. I bet, just like we do on a lot of time. Well, thanks so much for coming on for many episodes. Here on, so make sure that you like, share, subscribe, and pin your earring to hear David's episode.

And also some more episodes coming out with other regular occurring guests here, customers here, and also some artists. Maybe we can get another artist in here. But for right now, we're going to go and switch over to Kayla. Thank you all so much.

Kayla, how are you doing today? I'm doing good today. I'm doing great. Nice.

It's a full day recording. We're here at Horizon Comics at Comic Fest. After this, we're going to go to our studio at Lion's Den Studios and then cross over with another podcast from Riverside about DC Universe streaming system and DC Titans. So we're going to do a couple hour episode out there.

So it's been a really good day. But here at Horizon Comics in Comic Fest, I'm really excited. So we're going to do a mini episode on you. So you are one of the people.

So as Matt's regular here at Horizon, I've wanted to get on our show. But we haven't been able to just because we have, like, a guest list is like so freaking long right now. And you asked me yet, but that's what I really think. Here's the thing.

Just because I haven't asked, I mean, it's not there. I'm just on list. Oh, hey, by the way, Kayla, you're on the list. I'm on the list.

So many people are on the list. Moses Norton was on the list for a year before he actually we were game on. Oh, finally. I had him on my podcast.

He's amazing. Yeah, he's great. You guys, it's Charles McPhersonse. Yes.

I heard it. Yeah. It's a classic podcast. It's a classic.

No, he was on our show for Final Fantasy for Dummies. Nice. And we did every single Final Fantasy. And then we did our favorite Final Fantasy.

So it was a three part episode. But it was a lot of fun. We're going to do another one with a Arkham series, probably with Matt. Oh, nice.

I'm supposed to be on his podcast, eventually, for Pokemon Go, I think. Oh, nice, nice. OK, so we're going to talk about these many episodes. Kayla here at Horizon Comics comic fest.

So let's start off with where did it start with Nerd Geek Dump for you? Where did that start? Was it like a sibling? Was it a parent?

What was it? Oh, definitely a parent. My dad is the hugest nerd ever. Was it like Star Wars Star Trek or was it actually like comic books?

Star Wars. It was more like Star Wars and then like... Well because you were wearing a Chewy Gaffs and you were like that. Of course.

I'm gonna come on Chew's the best. Yeah, it was like Star Wars stuff, mostly Star Wars video games and like movies and stuff. It didn't really get... I was the one that found comics initially myself.

Like I found like a Spider-Man comic and a newspaper when I was like 9 and I was obsessed, but I didn't get to actually buy comics until I was like 20 so I got sad. Oh wow. Yeah. So how did you like, did you just watch like the anime series back in the 90s or...

Mostly I watched the anime series in the early 2000s that all the anime series nobody else ever watched. So like X-Men Evolution? Oh yeah, X-Men Evolution, the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, 2000 series. Oh gosh.

I was already like in high school, like almost out of high school. That was when I started getting TV and stuff. So that's when I could watch it. Okay.

Well I had to wait until I got to my grandparents house. So are you a DC or Marvel girl? Both. I think I started Marvel, kinda went to DC and now I'm just kinda in between.

I like both. I really do. So if you had to choose some of your favorite characters, what would it be? Um, like my favorite superheroes.

Yeah. Oh well, Static Shock is my number one favorite superhero. Serious? Oh 100%.

I grew up on that show. I love that show. There was a Omega-6. What was that show?
