"Horizons: Suffering for Blasphemous Libel" – Rev. Dr. Colin Bossen

Robert Wedderburn was the likely the first person of African descent to serve as a Unitarian minister. A political radical, he was convicted for blasphemy in 1821 two years after he opened the multiracial Hopkins Street Chapel in London. A hitherto unknown figure amongst Unitarian Universalists in the United States, this will be the first sermon about him in this country. It results from research Dr. Bossen conducted during his sabbatical.
