Hormonal Skin with Dr Ginni Mansberg

from WomenKind Collective

We are back with Series 6 of the Womenkind Collective weekly Podcast where we (Jinty & Lou) embark on a fun and educational journey, talking to experts and advocates on subjects that are often taboo We hit the ground running this series with the wonderful Dr Ginni Mansberg who chats with us about hormones, menopause and skin. We discuss eczema, rosacea, acne and find out why our skin drops a little as we age, and ask, is there anything we can do to make the most of the skin we have. We talk collagen supplements, nutrition and HRT. We ask can synthetic progestin give you acne? And With so many ‘menopause’ skin brands out there Dr Ginni tells us what to avoid and what to look for in a great product. Our hormones don’t only affect the skin on our face, what about our Vaginas? Dr Ginni explains how menopause impacts our vaginas and vulvas, and it’s not just about penetrative sex, we go deep into ph levels, and discuss the importance of seeking treatment sooner rather than later, and what the very simple treatments might entail. Dr Ginni Mansberg has been a GP for almost 30 years her practice is in Sydney, Australia, she has appeared on Embarrassing Bodies Down under (as an expert we might add), giving advice on various radio stations, and magazines. As a GP she has a special interest in menopause and is the author of the best-selling book, The M Word, how to Thrive in Menopause. Dr Ginni also started ‘Don't Sweat It’ to help menopausal women thrive in the workplace. As if that is not enough, Dr Ginni has enjoyed a career in Medical journalism and started her own skin care company, Evidence Skin or ESK where she is still the Medical Director. You can watch the full unedited interview on our YouTube channel: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCFgmHLcdx28eco-XlkWYwUA We also have an exclusive special code for our listeners to get 10% off any order!
