A review of scientific literature published this week isn’t offering new advice, according to one expert in the field of gynecology who has 30 years experience studying menopause and who helped author guidelines for women looking for relief. The study just published in the Canadian Medical Association reinforces a shift already underway, that hormone replacement therapy should be the first treatment offered to menopausal women to help manage symptoms, and it also highlights the overstated risk of HRT from two decades ago.
