Horseshoe Harriet Found

This episode recounts the successful identification of Robin Pelkey, a young murder victim whose remains were discovered in Alaska in 1984. For nearly four decades, she was known only by the nickname "Horseshoe Harriet" after being killed by the notorious serial killer Robert Hansen. Investigators finally solved the mystery of her identity in 2021 by utilizing advanced genetic genealogy to connect her DNA with living relatives. The report also highlights the "Butcher Baker" case, noting that Hansen confessed to many crimes before his death in prison. Authorities remain hopeful that these same forensic techniques will eventually identify his one remaining unnamed victim. Through this breakthrough, law enforcement aims to provide finality and justice for families of long-unsolved cold cases.
