Hosea, Pt 1 - The God Who Pursues

Join us as Pastor Chuck teaches a new series on the book of Hosea! The book of Hosea reveals God's relentless love through the prophet's painful marriage to an unfaithful woman named Gomer. This living parable illustrates how God pursues His people even when they abandon Him for other gods and idols. Their three children bore prophetic names representing judgment: Jezreel (God scatters), Lo-Ruhamah (not loved), and Lo-Ammi (not my people). Yet God promises restoration, reversing these broken names and relationships. When Gomer fell into slavery, Hosea bought her back for thirty shekels of silver, mirroring how God purchased us through Christ's sacrifice. God's pursuing love isn't based on our worthiness but on His character as a family man who never gives up on His broken family.[Recorded 2026-04-19]#faith #jesus #christianlife #god #gospel #judgement #judaism #grace #holyspirit #hope #godsloveDon’t forget to subscribe to this podcast.
