Hot Air Balloon Over Deerfoot Trail | Calgary News

A viral dashcam video shows a hot air balloon seemingly hovering dangerously low over Calgary’s Deerfoot Trail, sparking panic and online debate. But Sundance Balloons clarifies it was just a windy day — the pilot was aiming for a nearby field, and perspective made the balloon look closer than it was. The company, with decades of experience and thousands of safe flights, confirms the landing was uneventful. Police were aware but received no complaints. It’s a reminder that wind can be wild — and sometimes, things aren’t as close as they appear. Listen in comfort:Get a discount on a Soli Pillow: http://solipillow.com/discount/dnn.
