Hot House Hours Archives 01 (2015)

from Hot House Hours: Essential House Music Mix · host Dave Baker

Very few followers of Hot House Hours will be aware that the podcast was originally created back in 2015, with a small army of loyal supporters who helped spread the word with barely any of the social sharing tools we have today. Unfortunately the show was short-lived and had to be abandoned - but who knows how much bigger it could be today if it kept going! Because Episode 142 was brought forward in time for NYE celebrations, a gap was created in the schedule, but instead of filling it with a new techno, chillout or EDM set, Dave went off to find the original mix from the very first episode released in May 2015. It’s now been dusted off, made a bit louder (this didn’t cause the distortion on track 10) and added back to the feed! Heavily influenced by what Claptone was playing at the time, this was a bit of an adventurous mix with a 3 minute transition for tracks 4 and 5, bordering on a complete mashup! From Episode 002, the show focused on the latest releases from the previous week, as it still does today (with lots of promos now thrown in), and there was no time to listen to the likes of Claptone so a new style evolved - which seems to be a formula many people are enjoying! So who's on board with the podcast today? Send your comments! 1. One Thing (Nora en Pure Remix) - Me & My Toothbrush [Enormous Tunes] 🔥 2. Moodywoman (Original Mix) - Anhanguera [Maracuja] 🔥 3. Where We Belong (Original Mix) - Purple Disco Machine [Kittball] 🔥 4. Song For O (Original Mix) - Purple Disco Machine [Kittball] 🔥 5. Take Me Away feat. The 48 Laws of Power by Robert Greene (Full Audiobook) Robert Greene Amoral, cunning, ruthless, and instructive, this multi-million-copy New York Times bestseller is the definitive manual for anyone interested in gaining, observing, or defending against ultimate control – from the author of The Laws of Human Nature. In the book that People magazine proclaimed “beguiling” and “fascinating,” Robert Greene and Joost Elffers have distilled three thousand years of the history of power into 48 essential laws by drawing from the philosophies of Machiavelli, Sun Tzu, and Carl Von Clausewitz and also from the lives of figures ranging from Henry Kissinger to P.T. Barnum. Some laws teach the need for prudence (“Law 1: Never Outshine the Master”), others teach the value of confidence (“Law 28: Enter Action with Boldness”), and many recommend absolute self-preservation (“Law 15: Crush Your Enemy Totally”). Every law, though, has one thing in common: an interest in t Tweens and Dreams Anna B 💕 Hi! I’m Anna, a 12 year old in seventh grade! I’m a theater kid! (HAMILTON IS GOD!!)
