Hot Mama
from jim_yackel · host jim_yackel
In 1974, Bobby Good wrote "Hot Mama" after spending a summer's afternoon and evening with pirate radio AM 63's Janna B. Good. The two fell instantly in love after they met on that fateful day at Sylvan Beach, NY, and Janna took Bobby's surname after she married him. The song led to the band getting a major label record deal, and it became a minor hit in the U.S. and Europe. The Bobby Good Band was a one minor-hit wonder, and was axed by the label just months later. Bobby passed away two decades later, and it could be said the Janna will always love him.
